#621 - "Eaglemoss Builders Club Part 4" - June 8, 2020
It’s certainly a different kind of Ghostbusters Day this year, but we’re completely okay with the marketing hype being postponed until a later date. In the meantime, we’re building stages 9 and 10 of our Eaglemoss Hero Collector Ecto-1 subscription set. This week we’re working on carburetors and air filters and there’s a few tricky stages ahead. And while we build, we’re talking about Ghostbusters Day’s postponement, the potential of Josh Gad’s “Reunited Apart” coming at a to-be-determined date, the recent discovery that a new trailer and a potential Fathom exclusive might be on the horizon, and some incredible print offerings from the Containment Unit group out of San Diego.

Then in the second half of the show, a spoiler-filled discussion of Ghostbusters Year One Issue #3 by IDW Comics, focusing on the side-story and a little bit of backstory of the great Dr. Peter Venkman.

First up, lots and lots of details on the Hasbro presentation, which stole the show on Saturday with 6” figures for collectors, 3 and 3/4” figures for kids, and Plasma Series replica props from Ghostbusters Afterlife for all of us who want to take the movie home with us. Plus Playmobil has play boxes, a company is calling dibs on video pinball machines, and Funko didn’t want to reveal much to avoid spoiling the new movie. This week on the show, New York International Toy Fair had lots of surprises and we’ve got an excerpt from Hasbro’s presentation, and in the second half of the show: the imperfections of Ghostbusters!
