This week on the show, Troy and Chris talk - at great length - about the new Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire teaser trailer. Their impressions on everything from the title to the content within, the mysteries that have been setup, and even discussing some of the fan theories that came up on last week’s voicemail episode. No stone is left unturned (at least until next week, where more stones will be discovered obviously). Join us, won’t you?

An episode release on a Thursday? Have we gone mad? I guess so, because a trailer for GHOSTBUSTERS 3 was released on Monday. We’ve gotta cut into the feed with a special episode. This week on the show, Troy and Chris talk about their reactions to the trailers, their thoughts on some of the teases and what certain elements could mean, and a whole lot more on this special (and long) episode of the Crossrip!
#514 - "The Fam" - April 8, 2019
This week on the show, more casting for Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters confirmed, a new 35th anniversary home video release, and IDW one-shot talk! First up, the boys catch up after last week’s April Fool’s Yes Have Some episode. Then, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced a UHD 4K release of the original two Ghostbusters films in celebration of the anniversary packed with special features including the Fort Detmerring scene and a few other surprises (including a commentary by this ol’ podcast!). Next up, some casting confirmation for “the fam” as McKenna Grace has been confirmed to join Carrie Coon and Finn Wolfhard in a family with mysterious ties to the original Ghostbusters film. In the last section of the show, we’ll talk about IDW Comics’ excellent 35th Anniversary one-shot. All that, plus your voicemails and a few merch updates, and more in a jam-packed episode of the Crossrip!

This week on the show, casting for Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters begins, Into the Dead 2, merch talk and your voicemails! First up, Chris and Troy have faced their fears, conquered the zombies and dove into the two parts of Into the Dead 2’s Ghostbusters tie-in. What are their thoughts? How much money did they have to drop to keep up? All that and more. Then, some teasing from Diamond Select on upcoming plans and some merch talk along with your recent voicemails on all the discussion points. In the second half of the show, the boys discuss the recent casting of Carrie Coon and Finn Wolfhard in Ghostbusters (2020). What could their roles mean for the tone and themes of the series? Who do we think they’re playing? And can Stranger Things and Ghostbusters co-exist? Stay tuned!
#509 - "Five Reasons Why" - March 4, 2019
This week on the show: marking the passage of Harold Ramis, Ghostbusters (2020) news, IDW and Fan Fest updates, and an examination on a recent article suggesting the latest film will not help revitalize the franchise. First up, the boys talk about Eugene Levy’s appearance at the Harold Ramis Film School in Chicago, the latest GB20 casting info (and yes, we’ll talk about the Finn Wolfhard and Carrie Coon news next week - sadly, it hit the morning after we recorded), updates on Ghostbusters’ crossover with Transformers, and some clarity on a few questions Wizard World has answered for Fan Fest. Then, the major discussion this week is dedicated to a recent movie blog article listing five reasons the author believes the new movie won’t be the jolt the franchise needs to continue. Chris and Troy beg to differ (and end up talking quite a bit about Bill Murray because of it).
