#114 - "Extreme Ghostbusters: 18 Years Later" - October 4, 2015

This week on the Crossrip: news, updates, and a look back at the animated Extreme Ghostbusters on its 18th birthday! First up, a quick update on "King of the Ghostbusters" Peter Mosen, Troy and Chris dance around some GB16 casting spoilers (but don't spoil them), Theodore Shapiro might be scoring Feig's new film (and what does that mean for Henry Jackman? A ll'l news and then a Proton Charging archival interview with the one and only Don Shay, author of Making Ghostbusters! Here's what's on tap for this week's news: sending some well-wishes to "King of the Ghostbusters" Peter Mosen, a spoiler alert about the last day of production that we somehow avoided last week and now is common knowledge, at the same time production was out in NYC a familiar car paid a visit to the opposite coast at Mattel in El Segundo, CA. Then a little bit on IDW's Ghostbusters Get Real #4 and a tease about its trade paperback from Dapper Dan Shoening. And then the main event: Don Shay, one of the founding members of Cinefex Magazine and the author of Making Ghostbusters talking about the production of the original film in the context of its 30th Anniversary!

#112 - "Bill Effing Murray Appreciation" - September 21, 2015

On this, the day of Bill Murray's birth, we're throwing a double-stuffed two hour long episode your way in his honor. First up, some news: Ghostbusters (2016) is wrapped and did a little filming in NYC to close things out (no, we don't get into the major spoiler from the last day of shooting), Lego Dimensions got a sweet trailer, and what's with the new ride being built in Dubai? Then stick around for an all-time top five Bill Murray film discussion between Troy and Chris is topped off with a special Interviews with Melissa McCarthy, Larry King, the man himself, and some vintage National Lampoon Radio Hour comedy are all impeccably cut together by our own Chris Stewart for a half-hour long listening audio odyssey. And if that wasn't enough goodness? We've got some listener feedback with John from Chicago that poses a great question: what's with all the negativity?

#111 - "Ask Paul Feig" - September 14, 2015

This week, we're talking with Paul Feig (sorta)... He was kind enough to answer some questions for an IMDb Q&A session and Troy and Chris dissect and discuss his answers a little bit. And hey, did you hear that Al Roker got to do what we've all been wishing we could do and get the VIP treatment on a tour of the Ghostbusters (2016) set? All this, plus a little chat about the Key & Peele Ghostbusters nods and some 2016 merchandise speculation on this week's Crossrip!

#110 - Dan Amrich/Ubisoft Community Manager, Musician, Fan - September 7, 2015

Troy and Chris needed a little help. Superstar guitarist Phil-X sent out a photo to the masses regarding his recent purchase for Ghostbusters (2016) and it all read a little bit like Greek to them, so they called in the big guns: journalist Dan Amrich joins the Crossrip for this episode to talk video games (Ghostbusters: The Video Game, Puzzle Fighter and more) as well as give his professional analysis of Phil-X's highly-elaborate Instagram message to the fans that may or may not debunk the Crossrip theory that a new Ghostbusters theme song may have already been recorded.

#109 - "Whole Mess O' News" - August 31, 2015

Time to catch up on a WHOLE lot of news over the past week! Zoobe has a Slimer app that lets you put your voice in his mouth, IDW teases the Sandman (and Chris teases Troy with his Sandman impression), Melissa McCarthy is going to sell a Ghostbusters line of clothing, a metric-ton of Ghostbusters (2016) production news including photos from Paul Feig, Chris Hemsworth and Melissa McCarthy, and a slight correction on our reporting for the LEGO Dimensions Ghostbusters tie-in. Oh yeah, and that big spoiler about a cameo that leaked? We're not going to talk about it, but we're going to talk about how we're not going to talk about it. Crazy, huh?

After a brief discussion on the current news including the release of IDW Comics' "Mass Hysteria" hardcover, Paul Feig releasing the names of our four new heroes, and a little on some interesting prop building observations, Crossrip Co-Host Chris Stewart talks one-on-one with Moranis about why he took a hiatus from the film industry, the audition process for the first Ghostbusters, and a whole lot more.

In this week's episode, we'll talk about our spoiler policy moving forward, all of the awesome merchandise revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 from IDW Publishing, Diamond Select Toys, Hollywood Collectables, and a curious Mattel display that has us wondering on their future with the franchise.
