This week on the show, we're continuing our Eaglemoss Hero Collector Ecto-1 build with Issue 9, Stage 27! And it proves to be a little tricky for Troy and Chris. But before we do anything, we have a special letter (and important correction) from Don Shay of Cinefex magazine in response to last week's episode.
#708 - "Eulogy for Cinefex" - March 1, 2021
This week on the show, we’re honoring Cinefex Magazine which is ceasing publication after 40 years due to the pandemic. The special and visual effects journal that documented the creation of all our favorite films headed by Don Shay, Jody Duncan and Gregg Shay has been observing since Star Trek the Motion Picture and chronicled the making of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. Chris and Troy recall their introductions to the magazine, some of their favorite moments, and even do a little online shopping for their favorite back issues while they chat.
#113 - Don Shay/Author "Making Ghostbusters" - September 28, 2015
A ll'l news and then a Proton Charging archival interview with the one and only Don Shay, author of Making Ghostbusters! Here's what's on tap for this week's news: sending some well-wishes to "King of the Ghostbusters" Peter Mosen, a spoiler alert about the last day of production that we somehow avoided last week and now is common knowledge, at the same time production was out in NYC a familiar car paid a visit to the opposite coast at Mattel in El Segundo, CA. Then a little bit on IDW's Ghostbusters Get Real #4 and a tease about its trade paperback from Dapper Dan Shoening. And then the main event: Don Shay, one of the founding members of Cinefex Magazine and the author of Making Ghostbusters talking about the production of the original film in the context of its 30th Anniversary!
